Got to Estes Park with the family for the family reunion, so with all the activities planned had very little time to fish. Scouted out an area that would be fishable with spinners and got up before the clan and the sun, put in about 3 hours on the Big Thompson 6 miles below Estes Lake dam.
Had been told that floating a San Juan worm or tiny spinners (kept being told tiny spinners) were producing some fish on the lower Big Thompson so rigged one pole with the worm and one with the “bleeder”. NO CONTEST!!! Nothing not even a strike on old San Juan.
I caught 4 lost 3 and missed numerous strikes all on your spinners. Caught fish on each color scheme I tried, only changed when I lost my lure (3), due to overcasting on my part and snagging the other side. Another fishermen fishing the same section—his total fish count---0
Overview--- when asking fishermen how they were doing, most stated they had caught one or two. I feel I did extremely well, not knowing the location or the program—THE SECRET--- DFTANNHEIMER TROUT SPINNERS.
